Process Engineer - Slurry

The Process Engineer will manage all aspects of the Process Engineering functions for assigned part numbers and manufacturing processes. This individual will be responsible for new product introduction as assigned. In addition, the Process Engineer will work closely with Customer, Plant Manager, Sales, Production Manager, Engineers, Maintenance Manager, Quality Assurance & Technology Director, and HSE Manager to drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Improvements that satisfy our customers.
Process Engineer
Design and modify tooling / fixturing for new product introduction and improvement of existing processes
Utilize skills to program coating equipment for new product introduction and engineering changes
Review of non-conforming hardware through the MRB process and communications with the customer
Analyze data and lead improvement projects
Prepare appropriate documentation, reports and summaries to communicate project progress or results
Interface with internal and external customers/suppliers professionally
Actively participate in project team meetings and project decisions
Lead applications development activities necessary to provide services/products to customers
Quickly learn and apply new concepts, skills and knowledge to assigned tasks
Provide technical leadership on new product introductions
Organize and create documentation necessary for new applications, including job instructions, job routers, and standard operating procedures
Responsible for interpretation of customer specification and blueprints associated with new and existing applications
Work with applicable organizations to complete first article inspection and achieve acceptable first pass yield
Maintain an expertise with the process equipment in operations
Review customer purchase orders, specification and prints to ensure processing meets all requirements
Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures
Identify, prioritize and implement process improvement methods, utilizing Lean principles and interacts with entire supply chain (supplier to customer)
Perform Quality Go Cards and Internal Audits
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering strongly preferred (relevant production operation or project management experience in lieu of an engineering degree will be considered)
Experience in diffusion coatings operations and processes/equipment typically used in a coatings-manufacturing environment required
Project management experience a plus
Proven ability to combine theoretical training with practical experience in a "hands-on" environment
Must be a self-starter able to manage projects with minimal supervision
Must be mechanically inclined
Experience in tooling design, process design, and programming a plus
LEAN/ Six Sigma green belt or black belt is a plus
Strong communication skills required
PST is a supplier which abides by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As such, persons considered for this position must be either a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder) or otherwise classifiable as a U.S. person under relevant ITAR regulations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
