QMS Coordinator

Praxair Surface Technologies (PST), a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., a Fortune 300 company that supplies atmospheric, process, specialty gases, high-performance coatings, and related services & technologies is seeking a QMS Coordinator in our plant located in Ellisville, MS.
The QMS Coordinator works in close collaboration across multiple departments to manage controlled documents from document creation and approval to archival. This includes all elements of the document lifecycle: creation, distribution, revision, review cycle, implementation, and filing to include periodic review cycles per applicable Quality System Procedures. This person will work effectively under minimal supervision and provide technical support for developing and supporting the Document Management System (WebCenter). This position will also support our business users, participate in all relevant change management activities, and overall service delivery and customer satisfaction. Job responsibilities include:
Ensure all documents are properly controlled in compliance with PST and/or PGT procedures and regulatory requirements;
Lead the implementation of the electronic Document Management System (WebCenter) by writing and implementing processes/procedures for document management, record retention, and document change control;
Develop intelligence product templates promoting uniformity of fonts, formats, icons, images, layouts, and naming conventions for all documents in the Document Management System;
Write and/or edit procedures (SOP), work instructions (JI), or policies to ensure compliance with current Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory requirements;
Maintain, update, and archive company documents and records in accordance with company procedures; coordinate the preparation, approval, and implementation of these documents as well as archiving and retrieving as required;
Assist with ensuring consistent document handling and ensure timely completion of change control requests by coordinating document management and document change control activities;
Prepare controlled documents through the change control process including editing, proofreading, tracking, copying, distributing, scanning, and filing;
Ensure redlines and documentation meet all requirements per PGT document change control procedures;
Provide training and support to the organization in proper use of document related software to ensure proper document formatting and consistency in documentation throughout the organization;
Audit the electronic document management system in accordance to requirements and schedule;
Monitor the scanning of Work Orders, Material Test Reports, Certificates of Compliance and other associated documentation for traceability;
Assist the Plant Quality Manager (PQM) in the preparation of periodic and special reports which require the use of spreadsheet, database, and presentation graphics software.
Provide daily technical support in data collection, analysis, and synthesis with a focus on transforming, ingesting, and integrating local information or repositories into Spotfire, Tableau, and SharePoint; and
Participate in a work environment that fosters learning, respect, open communication, collaboration, integration, and teamwork.

Part 120-130) and the company's export control procedures, pursuant to which the release of such technology/technical data and/or items to anyone other than a U.S. Person may be considered an export to the person's home country and may require authorization from the U.S. Government. High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or greater preferred.
3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work.
Must possess strong abilities in relationship management and developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex problems.
Must be able to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.
Must be reliable to achieve assigned duties in a timely manner.
Working extended hours and/or weekends and holidays may be required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
